Welcome to Greenfield's Habitat Garden Wiki

Right on our playground we have a living laboratory, a place to engage in hands-on exploration!
Follow the links on the right to learn about our garden, adopt the garden, teach in the garden, and learn how to bring the lessons home!

Original planting day, November 2009

Greenfield's National Wildlife Federation Schoolyard Habitat was partially funded by a grant from the Birmingham Education Foundation. A dedicated crew showed up on a windy day in November 2009 to plant the first seeds.

Earth Day 2012

The garden, and our children, continue to grow with help from the Greenfield community including, students, staff, scouts, the BEF, Greenfield PTA and community partners. Neighbor and ecologist, John DeLisle donated many native plants. Our Michigan made bird bath was purchased with the help of Wild Birds Unlilmited, Royal Oak.
